M/T CAP DIAMANT underwent repairs and dry-dock, between 26.08.2011 – 13.09.2011, in Constanta Shipyard, during which, the following main works were carried out:

• Dry-dock Works: sea chests cleaning, anchors and chains ranging, cleaning, marking and calibration, hull and sea chest anodes renewal, sea and overboard valves overhauling, P/V valves overhauling and repairs, rudder pintle bush renewal, steering gear repairs, propeller polishing, tail shaft and rudder measurements;

• Blasting & Painting Works:

1. External hull treatment: washing by HPFW 24,130 m², surface preparation by sweeping and gritblasting to SA1/SA2 grades ~44% of external hull area, washing entire area by LPFW after first T/U, application of T/U coats and F/C as per specification;
2. ICCP system anodes dielectric shield reconditioning by removal of existing insulation and application of new epoxy filler – 18 m²;

• Steel Works:

1. Reconditioning of cable lifter and 22 closed chocks by welding build-up and grinding;
2. Shell plating renewal ~1.5 tons, rudder blade steel works ~1.5 tons;
3. Various soft steel works: supports, foundations, handrails, fan casings repairs;
4. Pipe Works: various Engine Room and Main Deck pipe works ~120 r.m., Pump Room pipes reconditioning by welding build-up;

• Mechanical and Electrical Works:

1. Main Engine calibration (all bearings) by feeler gauge, piston unit overhauling – 1 unit, cylinder heads overhauling – 6 pcs, fuel pumps – 6 pcs, cargo pump, boilers mountings, lifeboats, accommodation ladders testing, windlasses and mooring winches overhauling;
2. Fans electric motors overhauling – 8 pcs, Main and Emergency Switchboards survey – total 20 panels, circuit breakers – 4 pcs.
