Between July 24–25, Constanța Shipyard hosted the 99th meeting of the members of the The Romanian Shipbuilders Association (ANCONAV). The event began in an informal setting with a barbecue held at the SNC Nautical Base, offering participants the opportunity to strengthen professional relationships in a relaxed atmosphere. The second day continued at the SNC Club, where the official meeting took place, a traditional gathering that brings together experts from all nine shipyards in Romania, as well as manufacturers, distributors, and partners from the maritime industry. The event provided an essential framework for exchanging ideas, analyzing the state of the shipbuilding industry in the first half of 2025 and debating current challenges: the lack of qualified labor, rising production costs and the need to adapt to environmental and digitalization standards imposed by the European Union. These meetings play a key role in identifying joint solutions to new challenges in a context marked by economic, legislative, and geopolitical changes.
