The bulk carrier project primarily named M/V "Carei" initiated by Mangalia Shipyard, remained unfinished until take over by the Greek Group Larus SA and brought to Constanta Shipyard in 2005.

Works on M/V Niki included completion of vessel's outfitting, hatch covers system, steering system, tail shaft and recondition/overhauling of already installed systems.
