MSC SANDRA - was calling back Constanta Shipyard

After a successful cooperation for a DD & repairs a series of ships during previous years, one of the worldwide top container shipping company, reconfirmed the trust to Constanta Shipyard by awarding a new project, starting with October 2025.

The main contracted scope of works consisted of:

Ø  Normal docking works: sea chests & gratings, anodes renewal (o/s), valves o/h, anchor chains ranging/cleaning/marking/calibration, rudder clearances measurement, tail shaft wear down measurements, propeller polishing;

Ø  External hull treatment and painting (16 145 sqm): HPFW 350 – 450 bar washing up to 16,145 sqm, hydro-blasting 1200 – 2500 bar up to 2,442 sqm  2 T/U & 1 F/C of O/S paint application;

Ø  Steel works:

o   Structural steel:  up to 5 t

o   Soft steel: up to 5t Hatch covers: assumed manoeuver ashore panels (15 pcs); rubber packing renewal (max 100 rm);

o   O/S Single/double sockets replacement –up to 250 pcs;

Ø  Pipe works:  up to 60 rm (winch/windlass hydraulic pipes) & up to 100 rm (handrails);

The project was successfully delivered back to her Owners within contractual terms and represents a new milestone for the both companies future cooperation.
