For five days, from 1–5 June 2026, the global shipbuilding and ship repair community gathered in Athens for the 29th edition of the biennial Posidonia Exhibition at the Metropolitan Expo. Once again, the event confirmed its status as the world's leading maritime business platform and a key forum for shaping the agenda of an industry responsible for transporting 87% of global trade. Against a backdrop of unprecedented geopolitical challenges—from the ongoing conflict in Ukraine to disruptions in the Red Sea and the Strait of Hormuz—this year's exhibition demonstrated that the international shipping community continues to look to Greek shipping not only as a place to conduct business, but also as a source of direction, leadership, and consensus. For SANTIERUL NAVAL CONSTANTA SA (SNC), participation at Posidonia has become a longstanding tradition. As in previous editions, SNC was present with its own exhibition booth and a dedicated team of professionals, proudly representing the shipyard's expertise and capabilities. With more than 35,000 visitors and 2,200 exhibiting companies, Posidonia 2026 offered an outstanding atmosphere for professional meetings, networking opportunities, and the strengthening of long-standing business relationships. The event also provided an excellent platform for establishing new contacts and exploring future partnerships. This year's discussions focused on meetings with service providers, equipment manufacturers, designers, and shipping professionals. Particular attention was given to innovative technologies and equipment that may support the shipyard's ongoing newbuilding program as well as its ship repair activities. For the SNC delegation, it was a pleasure to reconnect with long-standing partners involved in both shipbuilding and ship repair projects. At the same time, the shipyard attracted significant interest from new visitors and potential clients eager to learn more about SNC's capabilities and future developments. Existing relationships were strengthened, new connections were established, and valuable opportunities were identified with the goal of building lasting partnerships for the future. The next Posidonia Exhibition will take place in sunny Athens in 2028, and we are pleased to assure our partners that SANTIERUL NAVAL CONSTANTA SA (SNC) will once again be present, showcasing its latest achievements and continuing its commitment to excellence in the challenging and ever-evolving world of shipbuilding and ship repair.
