M/T ASAHI PRINCESS – another “princess” in our Yard

 

 

Our traditional client, Tsakos Shipping and Trading S.A. Greece, has awarded a next project to Constanta Shipyard, continuing the long lasting cooperation.

 

M/T ASAHI PRINCESS ( a sister ship of ISE PRINCESS, also performing her dry-docking & repairs in Constanta), has safely arrived in the yard o/a beginning of November 2024 and left the premises o/a 11th of December 2024, upon completion of her extensive volume of works, which consisted of:

 

Ø  Normal docking works: open/clean sea chests & gratings, hull, sea chests and water ballast tanks anodes renewal (O/S), valves o/h, anchor chains ranging/cleaning/marking/calibration, rudder clearances, tail shaft wear down measurements, main propeller polishing;

 

Ø  Treatment and painting works:

o   External hull: HPFW 350 - 450 bar washing up to 18,500 sqm, hydroblasting 1200 – 2500 bar up to 7,800 sqm , 2 T/U & 1 F/C of paint application, Hull marks;

o   Water ballast tanks: (3 tanks): HPFW up to 450 bar, grit blasting SA2 up to 4,860 sqm, 2 T/U of paint application;

 

Ø  Steel works:

o   Structural steel works: up to 5 tons (hull & superstructure steel renewal);

o   Soft steel: up to 10 tons (various locations);

o   Mooring modification: O/S bollard – 2pcs (SWL 64T); O/S bollard relocation – 1pcs (Ø500); O/S deck stand roller – 2pcs (SWL 64T); O/S Chock double type – 6 pcs (SWL 64T), O/S bollard – 1 pc (SWL 90T);

 

Ø  Pipe works:

o   renew – up to 75 rm, various location

 

Ø  Mechanical & electrical works:

o   Windlass o/h (2 pcs) & brakes o/h and o/s ferodo renewal (2 pcs), Mooring winch o/h (12 pcs) & brakes o/h and o/s ferodo renewal (12pcs), LB winch load test (2 pcs), PV valves o/h (15 pcs), Electric motors o/h (28 pcs), Fans o/h (10 pcs);
