> 2021 DECEMBER-CONSTANTA SHIPYARD

2021 wrapped-up…

The end of 2021 was a quite busy period for SANTIERUL NAVAL CONSTANTA SA ( CONSTANTA SHIPYARD), Romania, as we’ve completed the DD & repairs of 9 ships, various type & size, whilst another 6 units were accommodated either alongside or directly indocked during month of December.

Probably, the most visible project was the successful completion of retrofitting the sail plan of our iconic Romanian Navy, the bark MIRCEA, which is the training ship for the students of Navy Academy Constanta, proudly having the same name of one of our famous ruler, Mircea cel Batran.

It was a complex job, but with the support of our authorized and skilled subcontractors, we managed to finalize it successfully, hoping that our joint efforts will be rewarded once MIRCEA will complete her worldwide tour planned in the nearest future.

Aside of being the Romanian Navy main contractor,  SANTIERUL NAVAL CONSTANTA SA (CONSTANTA SHIPYARD) it’s keeping and developing its business relationship with several well-known worldwide Owners / Ship-managers which are entrusting us for performing the necessary works related to Class DD & Surveys and/or complex retrofitting jobs (installing the BWTS units or scrubbers).

From tugboats, offshore vessels up to large oil tankers, bulk carriers or port-containers units, we are committed to deliver the best services, from normal dry-docking works, up to large steel renewal jobs or complex retrofitting.

The bunch of above mentioned 9 ships completed within December 2021 has the following structure:

-          2 x Navy vessels;

-          1 x offshore AHTS unit;

-          1 x MR oil tanker;

-          1 x AFRAMAX tanker;

-          2 x General Cargo vessels (one with BWTS installation);

-          1 x River barge;

-          1 x PANAMAX bulker (extensive steel renewal i.w.o. double bottom).

     The year of 2021, despite of all challenges due to Covid pandemic restrictions and turmoil on the market of raw materials, was successfully concluded thanks to efforts of all our involved colleagues!
