The ships are sister vessels and arrived in Constanta Shipyard at mid March (Zaruma) and end May (Pichincha), the main repair works being mentioned below:

• Water Balast Sistem installation
• Normal docking works: valves overhauling (57 pcs up to dia 500 mm), tailshaft withdrawal, propeller removal & polishing, external hull treatment and painting: grit blasting SA1/SA2 up to 10 350 sqm, 2 T/U & 2 F/C of paint application;
• Steel works: Structural steel renewal up to 5 t;
• Pipe works: Pipe up to 310 rm renewal
• Mechanical & electrical works: Air coolers o/h, winch & windlass o/h (4 pcs), heat exchanger o/h - 3pc; PV valves o/h (14 pcs), mooring winch brake o/h (14 pcs).
