Barja a fost transformata din modul de salvare in statie de desalinizare.
Lucrarile principale au constat in curatarea corpului navei, sablarea si vopsirea corpului si tancurilor, armarea suprastructurii, instalarea unor echipamente noi si a sistemului de desalinizare.
S-au inlocuit mai mult de 300 tone tabla.
